Christchurch based artist Tim Briggs creates lifelike realistic artwork out of metal. Working now as a metal fabricator, Tim is originally from South Otago in New Zealand where he was born and raised. From a young age he was surrounded by nature and enjoyed being creative. He enjoyed creating things he needed by thinking outside the box.

Working with different metals, Tim shapes and brings out different hues by using techniques such as but not limited to heating, polishing and encouraging rust in appropriate areas to create the desired effect.

His art takes inspiration from the wilds of the land from both here and his travels abroad. When not creating art Tim loves being outdoors fishing or traveling through the country.
