Tempest – Kea

Oil on canvas painting by Karen Boyce titled Tempest – Kea, The triangles in the painting are representative of the
mountains and become dominated by the deluges of the storm.
A sense of movement is created using repetitive mark-making
to indicate the essence of the storm. The Kea is seeking refuge,
which mirrors my own occasional need to find solace from the
complexities of modern life.
